I’m back with a review and let me just tell you I’m so so excited about this one! For those of you who know me and basically anyone who’s studied at The University of Pretoria will know that Haloa has some of the best coffee there is. When going to campus was still a thing, Haloa was the hangout of choice for lots of us music students. From celebrating after a test to catch ups or even a study session Haloa always provided amazing coffee, service and snacks. I remember every Friday morning I’d meet up with my sister and we’d grab Cappuccinos and their delicious Blueberry muffins before class. Some weeks those Friday mornings were definitely my main motivation. So as you can tell Haloa holds a special place in my heart and therefore you can only imagine my complete excitement when they opened a new store in Greonkloof!
The new store is identical to the old one on Hatfield campus and I can confirm that their coffee is also still delicious. I had my usual tall cappuccino which was well made and tasted excellent. They also offer an assortment of alternative milks, iced coffees and smoothies. The service at Haloa is also always first-class and the ambience is a good mixture of coffee shop bustle and calm enough to hold a conversation with ease.
Overall Haloa scored a 9 bean rating! If you’re in the Pretoria area I highly recommend you stop by. Besides the good coffee, you can also treat yourself to a an assortment of their delicious pastries, wraps and sandwiches. They also sell freashly roasted beans so you can make their signature blend at home!
