This weeks review is on the village’s newest coffee shop addition. The Bakehouse is situated on Firwood Avenue in Hazelwood and it might just be one of my new favourite coffee spots! The Bakehouse offers delicious coffee, freshly baked bread, pastries, and a wide menu of tasty food options including pizza. It has the cutest décor that gives off a minimalistic yet cosy ambience. The way the café is built allows for loads of sunlight and fresh air, giving it an outdoor feel despite being fully covered.
I ordered their cappuccino which was well sized and had the most perfect latte art. The temperature was good, and the taste was amazing. I also tried one of their freshly baked croissants which was perfect in every way.
They offer almond milk as a substitute as well as a variety of coffee types such as a flat white, cortado, americano, and latte.
The gorgeous ambience, good service and delicious coffee earned the Bakehouse a 9 bean rating! If you’re looking for a new spot to try this weekend, I highly recommend checking out The Bakehouse. It’s a great café to get delicious pastries, food, and excellent coffee.
